10:14 pm
Just after the first feeding in our overnight room.
6:39 pm
Baby is completly healthy. Still trying to decide between our 2 names.
6 pounds 11 ounces
20 inches long
5:51 pm
No baby yet but the head is showing more and more with each push. I'm a little shaky.
5:28 pm
This is crazy! I was able to see her head with hair on it. She will probably be out between 5:45 and 6 pm.
5:18 pm
Initial pushes to "get things moving." And FINALLY the cool spot lights!
5:08 pm
When doctor comes back into the room in a little bit Jamie gets to start pushing.
The end... err, start is near!
4:49 pm
NO! Tigers lose on her birthday on a horrible throwing error. What a disappointment.
Still more waiting but getting very close!
4:18 pm
Nurse Debby says she is completely dilated. Could start anytime soon.
3:56 pm
Nothing new since the last update... Tigers are up 3-2 in the bottom of the 7th though :)
2:43 pm
Nurse Debby turned up the Pitocin a little more to help with contraction frequency
2:38 pm
Side note... Tigers game is 0-0 in the top of the third
2:30 pm
Dr. Reedy checked dilation again. Jamie is now dilated to 5cm.
We are moving along nicely.
2:13 pm
Just some pictures... notice the smile on Jamie's face?
As you can tell the epidural works very well!!
Oh yeah and both grandma's are here :)
2:03 pm
Tigers game is starting on TV... holy crap someone across the hall is delivering.
I don't think I have ever heard a stream that loud!
12:42 - 12:58 pm
Doctor starts the epidural process. I swear the needle was about 6 inches long.
It was pretty exciting to watch, however I "wanted to sit down"... and by wanted to sit down i mean
was very close to passing out. It was a big needle!
12:11 pm
Dr. Reedy checks dilation. 2cm & 90% effaced
10:49 am
